What a day for a bike ride!

The Steels ‘Bike the wall 2011′ was a great success this weekend. 11 of our friends joined me, Matt and Matt B as we rode through the beautiful Northumberland countryside to raise money for International China Concern. The sun was out, spirits were high, and barring a few flat tyres, snapped chains and dodgy gear changes the ride went without a hitch. We’ll upload some footage soon, just to prove that me and Matt B were really on a tandem!

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored us and our friends. ICC is an incredible charity and your money will be used to make a real difference in the lives of kids who are born into a horrible reality.

The Steels ‘Bike The Wall’ 2011

This time last year The Steels walked 10km on The Great Wall of China to raise money and awareness for the amazing work of International China Concern.
This year, on Saturday 24th September, Adam, Matt and Matt B will be doing a sponsored bike ride and they want YOU to join them!

“We want as many people as possible to join us on this bike ride! It will be great fun and it’s for a great cause. Doesn’t matter if you’re fast or slow, old or young, there really are no excuses! And any money you can raise while doing this will make such a massive difference in the lives of abandoned children in China.”

The ride will start at 3pm from the Rugby Club Car Park in Morpeth, and head up the B6343 to the Dyke Neuk Pub for some refreshments. The route back to the Rugby Club will pass through Molesden. The total route will be about 12 miles and take about 2 hours.

Please visit our ‘Bike The Wall’ web page, , where you can either sponsor us or, if you want to join us on the bike ride, you can set up your own sponsor page. Either would make us very happy people!

Thank you!
